interior wiring

I have a 36x48 metal building that is being constructed.
I am going to be studding the interior for sheetrock (metal is 4'OC).

Question arouse as to interior wiring. I have always understood that a metal building needs conduit or BX, but seeing as how it will have wood studs, can I use NM between the wood studs?

Why? Well I don't want to wait to finish the interior before I wire. Heck, I don't know how far in the future that might be. So exposed conduit is probably out. I also really dislike using BX and the cost is more that NM.

No real permits required.

thanks for you input!

If it's going to be drywalled in the future then the NM run through and along the framing is fine as long as it is installed in the proper manner. If not covering the walls then the issue becomes that the NM may not be protected from possible damage, such as using the NM to hang stuff on.
