Looking at upgrading from a 26" craftsman home edition friction slide box that my parents bought me back in 77 or so. The International's load rating on the bottom cabinet is 52 lbs on 4 drawers, 119 lbs on 5 drawers, & 180 lbs on the full length top drawer. On the top chest it is 54 lbs on 4 drawers, 121 lbs on 2 drawers. Total load rating on the bottom cabinet is 983 lbs & the top is 459 lbs. How do these ratings compare to other boxes in it's price range of 1500? How many home mechanics have over this weight in tools? Just mentally tried to estimate what I have & it's under 500 lbs so it would take a while to put me over. Want to get a big enough box that I won't outgrow it & this looks like the ticket. Are the side boxes useful? The one with this setup says it holds 150 lbs, what do you keep in them, air tools, shop supplies, etc? For the guys that have this box, what do you think of them & would you recommend them to others?
