Just found this Journal. Somehow missed that this existed as I belong to the H.A.M.B as well. Just a short viewing of the forum on garage issues and I knew that this was a forum for me. I have a new shop that is about to be completed (electrical)There and will be obtaining its' final inspection. Then will come the details of building shelving, workbenches and placing automotive shop equipment on the lower floor and wood working equipment on the upper floor. My office will also be on the upper floor and it needs to have a divising wall built yet to be able to maintain a "clean area" for the necessary electronics of today. The balance of the space top side will be for storage.
As I get more comfortable with the flow of this site, I'll be asking for opinions based on experience to assist me in ideas that will come to mind that I may like to impliment into my shop. I'm attempting to attach some photos of the shop and please understand that it is still in the process of being built. A lot of "junk" still lying about.
There is still a lot to be done around the outside of the shop, such as grading,
crushed rock placed and rolled, a deck built for a "hang out" area, area lighting and the list goes on. Then there are the "war dept.'s" to do list that needs to be incorporated into the scheme of things (priorities
).
I'll be lurking most of the time learning and if I can contribute with positives I'll pipe in, otherwise learning will be my mainstay.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
