Too Much Stuff

Hello Forum, I have ended up on this site again and again when researching auction purchases, either for price information or identification. Routinely I find most of the answers I'm looking for. So, I finally joined the Forum.
And I already have a request. I just picked up a Samson (looks like a Yost) 5206. It was locked up but a little light machine oil and a couple of taps with a rubber mallet allowed the jaws to release. Unfortunately what I found inside was a sheared off main nut. It has the numbers 73-93 D on it (see photo).
Two questions, would brazing or welding provide enough strength to allow effective use of the vise (I have both pieces of the nut)?
Or should I be looking for a replacement? If so, anybody out there have one?
Thanks so far for the previous help and thanks ahead of time for whatever info I can get on this issue.
