Show me what you guys are using for your cellphone mount either on or the side of your work bench. I want to mount it on the side by my work bench but keep it up and out of the way. Any ideas or suggestions?

I stuck this universal adhesive backed phone clip to my phone. Then dropped the phone in a zip lock to keep it clean dry dust free. Last i stick the phone clip to magnets (.99 cents for a 2pack) from HF as needed. The magnets are hot glued or wrapped in thin tape (to keep them from scratching cars paint) at various stations around the garage.

X mount by Ram in the car. They make sizes for phones or tablets...

I run a line from my receiver to play music through my phone. So I basically cut the top off a listerine bottle and cut the front a little lower then the back and connected it to the ouside of the metal box where my receiver is located with a small screw/washer/nut.

Mine just gets chucked on the bench, usually on top of the anvil pad on the vice unless I'm using it. It's an Iphone in a Griffin survivor case so muck isn't an issue and it won't fit in any normal mounts as a result. The case did come with a clip that also doubles as a stand but I rarely use it.

Good luck with that, I have tried that with mounting other stuff and in hot weather the adhesive melted. It dripped down the dash and redried, huge pita to clean up.

i've been using the velcro for 7 years. even used it on my last deployment in '08 seeing temps of 115+. maybe you had a bad batch of adhesive>?

Yeah that might be the case I cant really be sure what when wrong with it. The day it melted was pretty hot and the car had dark paint. There were a few times owning that car (not the same day) aluminum cans full of coke blow up, so whatever temperature that happens at would be my guess.

I put mine in a clean welding glove on top of my tool box. I usually have it linked to my Bluetooth stereo so I don't miss any calls or messages.

I have an Otter Box, Defender case for my iPhone. It comes with a beefy plastic holder that will clip to my belt or the side of my tool box just like a measuring tape.
