Why so may air filter/regulator combos? How to choose the right one? My compressor is 60 gal, 12 CFM at 90 PSI.

What I did was copy and paste the item number, then go over to the Grainger website to pull up the item. The Grainger site has detailed specs for the item. Also the pictures on the IR site are generic representations. The pictures on the Grainger site are the exact pictures of what you will get.

Yes,

I bought that one as well

I too ordered that model (C38231-810). 5 of them. And 3 piggy backs.

Forget the hose reel those heavy duty balancers are the real steal.

Retail for around $2,000 yours now for 150. I just can't think of a anything I need to hang that weights between 176-198 pounds.

Maybe I could hook it from the crane and hook it to myself and pretend I'm walking on the moon.

This literally made me laugh out loud. Thank you.

The P39333-110 won't have a gauge, you'll have to get one of those. The P39333-610 has a flush mounted gauge and costs less, that is the one I went with.

Thanks for the info, I don't mind adding a stand alone presure gauge on the line so I will be ok.

Anyone have a clue to what the size C384F1-610 is? PDF file list it as

C38451-610 3/4" so not sure what it C384F1-610 really is. Anyone know?

I can't seem to find any other sites that have a letter in any of the model numbers.

This is turning into a guessing game on whats what. Pretty disappointing.

IR recently updated their closeouts. Almost 6 pages worth with a few great deals scattered in. Lots of regulators and oilers. Unfortunately I havent checked in a week or so and missed out the steal of a deal on the 50' retractable reels. They still have a 100' at $100 which isnt bad but thats way more hose than Ill ever need at my house

http://shop.ingersollrandproducts.com/

Free shipping on almost everything

You, my friend, are the man!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

If you ever come to the Raleigh area of NC, please let me know so I can buy you a beer!

GRRRR servers under heavy load please try again...

Everytime I retry after "servers under heavy load please try again" I get invalid card number. So far not working out for me. :headscrat

I had the same problems last night. It's working this morning.

Dang, I had to stock up on a lot of stuff... dreaming about when i have enough equipment to justify all the regulators and misc air parts i just bought...

I bought enough filter/reg/luber combos to do a drop on each wall, a main 1" filter/reg combo for coming directly off of my compressor tank and filtration/regs for one paint gun. If you price this stuff out, the deals are just to good to pass up. I bought a 2000 series filter for the paint system because buying a .3 micron filter for the filter reg combo I was considering buying was about $175.00

Price everything out and consider your options carefully.

I ordered one. This thing should be nice to setup on the work bench for working on small parts and doing any serious dremel tool work.

So do the ARO filters separate water and filter air? I can't decide which one to buy, I have a 20 gallon, 5 HP, oiless compressor right now. I may be upgrading in the future, but I wouldn't mind getting a filter at this discounted price. Any suggestions?

Page 2 has a PDF doc of the sizing and models. Two biggest things to look for are inlet/outlet size (you may want 3/8") and the bowl type (polycarb or metal). Metal can handle more incoming pressure, but that isn't much of a concern really. Personally, I prefer the sight glass. Auto vs Manual drain is just a personal preference. Mine are auto.

Look for a piggyback model that includes the regulator gauge. Make sure you get NPT threads instead of BSP (British). At these prices, might as well pick up two. One for an outlet near your compressor and a second for a branch to another part of your garage/shop for future use.

Any of the Piggyback regulator/filters would be useful long-term even after you upgrade compressors in future years! ;)

Have to have NPT (national pipe thread) and decide what line size easiest for you to implement with your airline system (that is either copper or blackpipe steel . . . right?) Cut & paste the IR model number into Grainger website search and you'll get quick info on most models.

I'd only recommend getting bowl that has sight glass so you can see whether there is water in there or not . . . but for $16 to $20 you can't go wrong with anything in 3/8" NPT or 1/2" NPT.

I've exchanged a few emails with the lead manager for the division manager of IR who's running the shop.ir.com site. It's new site and they will continue to add products over time, so this isn't a one time thing. It's intended to be a quick liquidation website to clear out inventory so they can move on to feeding new inventory/products to the dealer/distributor network.

I've requested that they add a recently listed/new products page that would display products added in the last 15 days only so that you don't have to sort through all of the listings to figure out what's new for the day. The manager seemed very responsive to the idea and have put a request into their tech support folks to add that.

It's going to be very interesting to see how often they add products to the page and if they will continue with the extremely discounted pricing.

Nice deals.

Anyone know if there's a disadvantage going with the .3 micron coalescing filter over the std 5 micron filter. Is smaller better for an average shop compressor?

.3 micron will be better for paint sprayers, .5 micron is good for air tools and should allow for more cfm's (better for grinders, sanders, etc).
