They really do work.

There are a few caveats. Don't use fabric softener when you wash them and you need to was them a few times before they start to work really well. They work a little better when they're damp rather than completely dry.

Bed Bath & Beyond. Wife dragged me there for some post-Christmas sale shopping. Since all the Linens & Things stuff is gone, I went along.
Funny BBB story: Out front there were about a dozen 20% off coupon in the trash. I picked them up and checked the dates, all expired. Inside, I mentioned this to my wife who said that BBB accepts expired coupons up to 30 days past the date. I ran back outside and grabbed the stack (all addressed to: our loyal customer at 123 main street...).
The nice cashier let me double stack them on our purchases since we had more coupons than items in the cart.
$20 - 40% = $12. Much better deal than the $28 online.
