Seller adds:

"do any of you 55 "watchers" have any actual balls, or is everyone just going to " dream"!!!"

And he's got some bad feedback.

I doubt he'll get any takers at that price when he can't bother to list the goods or take detailed pictures. Or maybe he'd get some interest if it was an auction?

With this kind of attitude, nobody will be banging on his door with offers. Makes him sound like a real *****.

I am asking because based on his years of service, dollar figure he has stated, and the tools he has provided in the pictures it doesn't reflect even the list price of 50K? :spit:

Am I missing something here . . . :headscrat

paid over £1000. and never received the bike
MINT CONDITION OLDSCHOOL SKYWAY T/A BMX (#230409555894)

More than likely, but you never know . . . Could you imagine if every member of GJ posted a offer from $0.01 to $1.00 how high his blood pressure would rise? :bounce: :lol_hitti

Real charmer. I sincerely doubt that ebay agrees with his no Paypal policy.

I love these motivated sellers who lack motivation.

ebay and ebay motors are different. You can agree on cash or check/MO @ pickup for high value items. You dont really think people are using Paypal to pay for a car/truck/bike etc.. do you? Paypal is usually just used to pay for a Security Deposit and thats it.

Does not even come close to 50K. There does not seem to be very many tools. The box is SO, but are the tools SO?

Once again... another case of a "career collection" and someone who feels entitiled to be "payed back" for his career.... I'm looking for the "pay now sucker" sticker on the box somewhere.... :) Seems we "owe him" for the career he is now leaving! :)

Their's a lot of snap on tools in there but unless you could see it in person there is no way to tell. The Boxes are pretty impressive, if they are full of tools might be worth 50g. If you want to convince me its worth 50g, showing a drawer full of vise grips isn't the way to go

Vise Grips aren't **** now?!?

I guess that lot of 100 Vise Grips I just won on eBay won't be helping my **** wrencher status. :(

He wrote that the total value is ~ 150 K !!!! Never... for that money you get a whole independent shop with some lifters, verus scanner and techs....

On the pictures I see only some standard stuff...standard pliers etc. nothing special.

i would say he has $50,000 worth, the tool boxes alone new probably made up half that cost, providing none of the other drawers are empty or full of papers 50,000 isn't a bad deal especially if it has everything!

You got me. I forgot about the difference there. I get so hammered with the Paypal stuff on the standard site.

My guess is if someone had $50k sitting around to buy tools with, they would visit Snap On's website or a dealer.

I've been regularly checking eBay/craigslist for good SO deals for several years now, and this kind of listing shows up now and then. I think the sellers just want to get a big check without having to do the work of breaking the collection and listing tools separately (or at least in smaller sets). The problem, of course, is that there's no secondary market for a $50K pile of tools.

There's a guy in Hanson, MA that has been trying to sell his SO rollaways with tools for $25K on craigslist -- and he's been trying for many months (or maybe years at this point.) He doesn't seem to have dropped the price at all. Baffling.

Is there 50K here?

Fifty, hell there's over 150k, I'm surprised nobody here has the balls to buy it.

Of course you could wait until they foreclose on the house and buy the house with the box for 50k.

You gotta love how people want big money for stuff but don't want to go through the trouble it takes (cleaning and selling separately) to get good money, plus in this economy who's got 50k laying around to dump on an incomplete list of tools and tool boxes in God knows what condition.

There's probably $50k there. However with 3 negative feedbacks out of 9 over the last 12 months who'd trust this idiot.

He said no bidders with 2 or more negative feedback. Maybe he should disqualify himself as a seller using the same standards.

Someone needs to see it all face to face and make him an offer.

No personal checks for the deposit, only bank certified. Sounds like a scam. A $10 000 deposit that is certified. That's a lot of money that you can in no way get back. What's wrong with a personal check if I pay the entire amount when I get there?
Add the negatives and it looks like he is trying to raise some money fast.
Run! Run fast and far!

I think I offered that guy $13k...and did not get anything more than an automated "no thanks". But from all the descriprions I could see, it was all I could fairly pay.

And it does not cost much to list. A fixed price listing (with best offer) is only $.50. eBay gets its pound of flesh on the final value fee.

As far as the original listing, I would never take someones word that a set is worth a certain amount. But if I have one clear picture of each drawer...that's enough to make an offer. I think these boxes alone would resell for over $10k, but I have a hard time believing you could fit another $40k of tools in them. Either way, even though I buy a lot of collections...this one's out of my league.

Now that's funny. I wouldn't risk 100 bucks on a guy with that feedback rating.
