Is there a "definitive" two post lift thread?

I've finally gotten my new shop ready to move in, and so its time to start thinking about which two post lift to install.

I've tried every way I know to use the search function here, but it tells me that the word "two" is too short, and so it just returns results for "post, lift" which gives me all kinds of posts. Does anyone here know of a "definitive" thread here on two post lifts? Some similar to the threads on the HF toolboxes, or shop lighting which really helped me a lot on my shop?

Or maybe just a way to search which would work better?

Thanks!

Use Google works really slick if you type this into Google search field .

garage journal: 2 post lift

The search function of most forums is questionable.

I don't think there's a one size fits all thread but tins of information is there.

BTW - I have a Triumph C7000 and an very pleased with it.

I buy, sell, service and install auto shop equipment including lifts. The best choice for a lift varies based on the way it will be used, the budget and on personal preference. Feel free to contact me at [email protected] or at 678-353-9183 and I'll help you as best as I can. I'm a virtual cornucopia of useless information and I have a lifetime of experience.

LOL, most of us only strive to reach the Cornucopia level.

OP, good luck in your search. I can assure you that no matter what you end up with, you will like having that tool very much. I'd bet that a real detail "attitude" search would show everyone that has installed a lift saying "I should have done that a long time ago".

spent 2 hours searching for 2 post lift and i'm kind of disappointed. Easy to conclude a rotary or some other 5000$ lift is ideal for your home use. what if the budget doesn't support that.
i'd like to see some real reviews of hobby level budget lifts at the 2000$ budget.

I have been extremely happy with my Atlas OH-10X 10,000lb 2-post lift, $2250 picked up from their warehouse. Some more details here.
