Can you post a link? One of the things on my list is to replace the rubber sway bar links with homemade poly units.

If you want to use 100% silicone caulk available everywhere just mix in a little artists acrylic paint. There is some sort of chemical reaction between the two (maybe moisture or glycol) that causes the silicone to cure in the absence of air which is normally the problem when using this material. I have made casts from products by silicone industries (2 part) and it is a great product too but very expensive! This is a very common practice in taxidermy from what I found when I was researching.
A couple of things I have found.
prothanesuspensionparts.com polyurethane kits
turbobricks.com poly bushing construction
Let us know if you find anything else.
Some of the guys on the Old Woodworking Machines forum use this to make knobs and handles.

Check out the Instructible.com website for Oogoo - made from silicone RTV and cornstarch to make molds. Haven't tried it myself but looks cool from posted video.
post a link if you can find poly in a two part mix,i'm definitly interested in that also.don't know if you can do it that way or if it has to be injected
