All I am in the very early stages of planning a barn. I have joined very recently and Love this forum. What I am looking for is a detailed thread on installing and planning in floor radiant heat. Because there are so many projects that have used it I assume there must be a thread but in my searching I have not been able to find it.

Thanks

Byron

to my mind there are three parts to a radiant install; tube work, boiler install & then your near boiler piping & controls .. each part gets broken down further

tube work - grade and compact, lay insulation, lay mesh, install the tube
boiler install - hang/install boiler, install venting, install gas feed
near boiler - that's where stuff gets real funky, there are lots of ways to get the water into the floor, some more right then others & tie everything in with power and controls

if i were you i'd figure out a basic game plan, like what fuel you wanna go with then rough in the tube and tackle the other stuff down the line

Well this forum for sure....then Google is your friend, and YouTube of course. You could spend months here just reading. Insulate well my friend.......you'll pay once, and not every month. And if your looking for heating info from us, it might help to put your location in your profile......we promise not to come by and steal your stuff....
