Its the FD+ for those who didn't order FD+ but the dealer thought they looked like they needed FD+.If that is supposed to be a flank drive plus open end, it's defective as it seems it didn't get any "plus" teeth added. T
I said my cousin. I really hope it's not that difficult for you to follow that... He is going to contact Snap-On now that a lot of people agree this isn't typical.Simple.. If your cousins, brothers, nephew isn’t happy, Have him contact SO and let them rectify it. I personally wouldn’t sweat it, but it wasn’t my money or expectations. I’ve seen Quite a few wrenches with broach lines and unless it’s a fitment issue or starts lose chrome due to poor adhesion, It better get to work and earn it’s keep.
There's absolutely nothing immoral about offering a product and a payment plan.SO has done it to themselves. Prices are so insane that everyone expects cosmetic perfection, except for the pros that use these things day in an day out to earn a paycheck.
I am trying to help my cousin solve a problem. This part of it is called research. Do you ever call a company without evidence that something is wrong? I don't. If Snap-On tells him that it's normal there are not plenty of people claiming it's not true. There are a lot of people on here trying to **** on me. They can keep trying and I'll keep laughing. Some people not want solve problem, just want **** on someone. This case, not even his problem, perceived problem he has of nephews stuff. No idea if finish is giving nephew problems, or working well.
The wrenches are far from perfect though. This isn't some minor blemishes on the finish of the wrench. It might not be rational to expect perfection but neither are Snap-ons prices.
Just ignore him. You're better off.Correct me if I’m wrong, looked like you were comparing your fd+ to his regular fd to suggest that the grooves in the jaws were normal on all SO wrenches and you just never noticed them, so I was saying they’re two very different products, one should be heavily grooved one should not be at all (not very much at least)
Can get confusing on forums sometimes nbd
Such a waste that you came here to comment! Guys like you crack me up. Again, I posted this to see if this was typical before he contacts Snap-On. He doesn't have a rep. He ordered the wrenches online on Snap-On's student website! Try to keep up.Your rep will warranty that. Kind of a waste of time to make a post.

Yes, he can find a rep, but he's not currently dealing with one.Um... yes he does. The SO SEP rep is either your region rep or one dealer assigned to a geographic area. I've contacted mine when I had an issue, and he was on it like melted butter on hotcakes, just like my driver used to be. The main reason they do online is so the company (and your rep) can keep track of your spending (you're limited to IIRC $10k or $15k) and if you have specific goals, what you might concentrate on. Plus if it's a direct order through your school, your rep will tell you what you have left over after you've gotten your school program purchases.
My school is (now was) in far northern California (Redding), my SO SEP rep (our district mgr) is in Bend, Oregon. Also I went into the local reps truck, looking at something and told him I was a student at Shasta College and in the SEP, and he cut me a pretty healthy discount.
Just saying.....
Without question you're buying the individual rep/dealer more than the tool itself. The rep situation is one of the worst aspects of their sales. You have a good rep they take of you very well. If the rep changes and the new one isn't good, you suffer. It really depends on who the tool rep is in your area. It is one of the things that I think is important when buying tools such as these.
