Is this wrench available in the US?

Hi Gonmad, below is just a quick mock-up of how its used on the Dakar calipers.



Bleeder tube is pushed through cutout in wrench:

Then the wrench can be placed over the recessed bleed ****** in the caliper.

Its a similar effect to using a tube through the end of a ring spanner (I think you call these a box wrench?) when bleeding a regular caliper. But regular ring spanners don't make it into this recess.

Thanks for the pictures. We don't really see any Dakar bikes in Southern California so I have never seen a caliper like that. Motocross and Baja bikes are the normal here. Looks like I'm going to have to add a set of these to my toolbox.

Ah sorry, I should have been more precise. Dakar as in vehicles, not the bikes. The one below uses these specific calipers.

Sears carried Craftsman branded sets in common SAE and metric sizes back in the 1990s. I think they were manufactured in France by Facom. The Cman sets are relatively scarce and occasionally show up on Ebay, but the prices are sky high. I don't believe Sears ever offered these wrenches as singles. They're nice wrenches to have on hand in certain, job specific situations, but for the most part, they're really speciality tools in my opinion and probably not worth the Ebay asking prices.

Are these wrenches open on the inside of the long arm as well as the short one? I can't see that detail in the photos so far.

My Truper versions are like deep sockets on the long and pass through on the short.

I have the six piece metric set and make good use of them. To fill holes I made five more of old sockets and flat bar. Not pretty but they work right.

Nope, only open on the short side. I speak for those I see here in SA, not sure of the Facom made ones though.

I learned about these wrenches when I first joined GJ and would love to have a set but for how often I would use them they are a bit pricey. However, should a metric set become available at a reasonable price I would definitely consider them.

Customer in the US needed one, but I did not know if they sell them over there. But thanks to GJ the problem was sorted pronto.
