I just put a shelf out in my garage, along a side wall, specifically to store my jack stands and my road-trip tool box. It's like one of the six-foot high knock-together units from home depot. I cut the uprights in half so they're 3-footers, and each is 4 feet long. Jack stands go on the bottom two shelves, and there's a very short shelf right under the top, that's just tall enough for a valve cover, so I've got a whole row of valve covers stacked there.
The top shelf (like a counter top, now) has my road trip tool box and a few other bulky things stored on it.
Under one shelf is my trans jack, under the other is my oil change pan and my floor jack is nosed-in and pushed under.
My creeper is hung on the end, with the wheels on the shelf, and a bungee cord holding it tight to the shelf uprights.
