So we had some issues with the flooring I waited all week to let the floor cure and water got on it and turned it white! After I finished panicking IO realized no matter what happens with the floor I need to get the rest done so I can start moving stuff it and we started painting! I know it looks dark now but its all going according to plan. Per Josh I used 220 and sanded down the few bubbles I has and Melissa my awesome fiance started filling holes in the walls

while we were waiting on the floor I taped off the edges using a big piece of cardboard and rattle canned the concrete edge. Josh sent Adam over to see what could be done about the white stains caused by the water. he hit them with 220 and then wax and that seems to ahve helped quite a bit. the shine came back but i do have one area that was redone that is showing a little bit of white again.

I started putting up the siding and realized I had the wrong damned screws since i cant start working on the garage till 11 at night I had to wait till the next day to get different ones at Lowes. My buddy ALan came over and we did one wall I know I know the tope is hella uneven but cutting corrugated steel with tin snips is well retarded and so I used a skill saw. Actually worked pretty well other than the shrieking and horrible noises! I am planning to cover the whole top edge with a 4 or 5 inch wood lip creating a base for a shelf that will be on the far side only.

after we got the backing strip of wood up we really started moving Barbra had been steadily working on the paint and cut in and it was looking great! Ralph and I got the measureing and strip up around the garage and started puting up the border wich also was looking pretty well. we ran out of time but are planning on finishing some time soon I will be down in LA for GNRS so we maybe be off by a weekend but one more weekend should do it! The last picture shows the over lap that will protect everyone from the sharp edges on the steel if I ever do this again ill make one top and bottom to completely encase the steel. trying to decide now if I should clear over the wood trim or stain it dark ?

Finally pulled the Galaxie in the garage and got to see just how the garage colors work with the car/ This is after the prescribed drying time for the 5 coats of wax Adam put down after sanding and buffing and getting all the white spots up. Thank god!! The pic is last thurs right before GNRS. Gave the Galaxie a good bath and then pulled in.

I hope to have the rest of the wood topper finished and start moving my big stuff, boxes and benches in this weekend!! Still need to locate and hang some cabinets and will be able to start thinking about shelves and stuff after I get all the tools in place. Also still not any closer on the mural. ideas?

Thanks Guys! The siding was just from Lowes nothing special at all. I actually tried cutting one with tin snips and that was some bull ****! I used one of my old mans skill saws and cust it no problem at all I didnt even use a special blade or anything. Moved the majority of my big stuff over. I gotta get some shelves and cabinets up !

Great floor!! Thought that with the dark walls would be too dark, but the siding makes is a lot brighter.

Well for an idea of what was used start at page 1 its a epoxy that just starts clear and they added pearls and micro flake till we all agreed it was ready was a kinda cool process its was hella slick till they came back and waxed it! now its pretty nice still slidable if you are wearing just socks but with regular shoes you are all good.
