To those of you who thought the Craftsman spinner ratchet and the Dogbone tools were wastes of money... This one takes the cake.

-An absurd amount of money for Taiwanese ****.

Looking at the Jessie James stuff I keep remembering the great line;

"It's amazing what people would rather have than money!"

He says they are MAC tools though. Is Jesse James using these? I highly doubt it.

These tool fads run in cycles. I think consumers have been overexposed to Jessie James, OCC, Boyd Coddington, etc.. and many of the other motorcycle dramas. When they were new and hot, tool vendors beat down their doors to showcase their tools. Now that the fad is waning, people are trying to make a quick buck by dumping this stuff.

I'm willing to bet that in a few years folks will actually ridicule you for buying these "fad" tools. Remember all those special edition tools, equipment, chests etc.. commemorating Dale Sr., and John Force (in the 90's) or Cale Yarborough and Richard Petty (in the 70s). People paid huge premiums over retail thinking they were making an "investment". What a joke!

Several years ago my local sams club sold those JJ tools in a nice tool box. It was more than I was willing to spent it.

Sam's Club did sell Jesse james tools and box from Stanley (not Mac tools) as it show West coast chopper logo ( Mac tool had picture of West coast chopper bike on it)... i was look at it and i want it but for like 300 or more dollars... so i forget it but in few months later, the Display tools and box were in clearance for 245 dollars... my dad bought it for me... i did used it for work on my dad and my harley and even work on our family's 1997 Dodge grand Caravan to pull the transmission... it is very nice of tools... but i dont use it as i do in dealership...

I don't need tools or a tool box with someone's name on them. My no name Snap On, Craftsman, Mac and other tools do the job just as well.

The indexable JJ ratchet is pretty nice looking. Anyone have it? I thought all of those JJ tools were MAC but just made in China...I have never heard they switched to Stanley

They are stanley, they are the same ones @ home depot, walmart so on.
Stanley owns mac so they throw that name in to move these "special" tools.
