The only filed screw driver I have that has been filed is a #3 Philips. The smaller sizes are different and filing wouldn't work as well I don't think.
I didn't know Sears had started selling quality tools again.
JIS seems to be standard on Japanese motorcycles. All of them that I work on that are newer than '08 are JIS or seem to be. My 2014 Honda CB500X fasteners seem to be JIS. Soon after buying the motorcycle I bought a new set of JIS drivers just to be sure I wouldn't fudge any screw heads. (I plan to keep this bike for a while.) They fit perfectly and lock in solid. Philips definitely does not fit the fasteners on my bikes very well.
I read that section in the wiki about DIN replacing JIS after '08. I'm skeptical about there being any differences between the two. I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just skeptical when it comes to the Japanese motorcycles I work on that are newer than '08.

You aren't wrong in that JIS fasteners still exist, but JIS as a screwdriver standard is extinct. It has been superceded by DIN 5260 which drives both JIS and standard philips fasteners.
