Bar update:
So here we go with the bar project! The plan is to enclose the keggerator and have a few cabinets and shelving units behind the bar. Pretty simple and straightforward right? Yeah, well stay tuned because it's going to get interesting. The bar counter top will be entirely concrete, go ahead all you concrete guys.. start drooling. The product being used is pretty unique in the sense that it can be hand pressed like clay, or trowel finished. I am opting for the hand press finish to give it a more rugged and pitted look.

Anyways, the frame was started today and I thought I would share a few photos. Not much to look at right now but I will continue to update as progress is made.
Some of you guys probably shun IKEA but I tell you the prefab stuff saves time and money, it's also plenty durable for the layout and it is easy to incorporate and strengthen into the frame. The far white base cabinet will have a black cover panel, that's just how IKEA sells it. The shelving units in the middle are actually the perfect height for mounting the counter top right over.
Total length of the bar is about 12', should be able to seat 8 people.
Here is a picture of the concrete mix, color additive, sealer, and fiberglass particle mix. Watch some of the videos of how they make the counter tops it's actually pretty impressive.
Here is essentially how it works:
Stay tuned for more update pictures!
