The network cabinet looks impressive!
The network cabinet looks impressive!
what type of subwoofer do you have under your couch ?
thanks.
Network cabinet looks great! I didn't know there was such a thing. All of my ethernet cables dump into a basement closet and I've long been wanting to build in a little equipment rack and centralize more of my network stuff. But yours looks great. Makes troubleshooting easier when it's tidy!
The Hue hub sends it's Zigbee signals fine in that metal enclosure? Not sure if it would make much of a difference, but just curious. Does it get hot in there at all?

The before and after of that cabinet is striking! Looks great.
That looks really good. The tools you put up there are pretty much the same tools I use in my garage all the time too.

Hey Jo3l, you were asking me about smart home light switches awhile back.
Have you seen this new offering from Lutron?

Not cheap necessarily, but looks like a decent option for controlling Hue lights and not doubling up on wall switches. I don't have one or anything, just thought you might be interested. I might try one out and see if I like it.

Wow, very impressed with this thread. First time stumbling onto it. Well done working with your space (looks to be a similar size to mine). And your interior styling is also very nice. I've always loved that chair with the metal wrap. Keep it up!![]()
Thanks so much! FYI, I had saved a bunch of photos from your garage build thread in my "garage ideas" folder![]()
I love the metal aviator chair too, but I'm learning that all the metal edges aren't the best for having a 2 year old... One more "boo boo" from it and my wife might banish it to my office
I know i really enjoyed sharing and grabbing ideas from this site as i created my space.
Great thread. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Awesome.I know i really enjoyed sharing and grabbing ideas from this site as i created my space.
Nice work with the chairI really love an old industrial furniture.
Great work with your workshop too![]()
Here is my hidden shed, 6'W x 12' D:
When viewed from the neighbors yard it just looks like part of the garage.
It may sound crazy, but I find sitting down and cutting these out for an hour very relaxing

I will take a bakers dozen of those wallcontrol plugs you made. Thank you in advance.
Not crazy
Feel you on the shed, I'm in the same boat, and sorely need to give it my attention.
Those 3D printed tool holders are pretty sweet.

Thanks. I've only done renovation/repair so never really built anything from scratch like this. It's a 20 footer. Forgot to make the top plates longer to allow for overhang gable. Had to add 2x4 extensions, hah. My garage was better for a little while but back to a disaster after a clutch replacement.Wow, your shed really puts mine to shameLooks like it turned out great!
Mine is the dirty little secret to having a clean garage, but it's the list of things to organize and improve. Thanks for sharing yours [emoji106]

Looks familiar

Good to see this pop back up!!! I’ll be watching cause my shed is awful right now. I think I have stuff in there that hasn’t been touched in more than 5 years! Yikes!
Looking forward to what you come up with Joel. While the original intent of my shed was for storage I too saw the possibility of a secondary workshop and also for painting and putting a finish on projects.
4 years later and I am still finding ways to better organize and make the important stuff easy to retrieve.

Great progression. Love the bikes and a lot of the ideas you have. That clock looks great! What temperature gauge is that?
Thanks so much! The clocks were a lot of fun, I'm sure the shed will need one soon.
The thermometer I have is this one:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H1R0K68/?tag=atomicindus08-20
I like that you can leave it for a few days and it will tell you the highest temp it recorded (or lowest in theory, not really an issue here)
