Having debated what floor covering I wanted I opted for Legacy Industrial HD37 densifier and HD40 Stainguard. I am more than pleased with the results.

The densifier was easy to apply and no visual change to the surface after application.

The HD40 was harder to apply. I had my wife spray and I spread it out with the microfiber pads. The first coat wasn't easy to spread, the concrete was like a sponge. I guess I could have sprayed more but I didn't know how much I would use and didn't want to end up short.

The second coat was easier and the third easier again. My garage is a 36x48 (1,728 sq/feet) and I used 2 coats of HD37 and 3 coats of HD40 out of 5 gallons of each. I rented a burnisher ($30 for the day) and had at it. Burnishing wasn't too bad at all. Would I choose this product again ? Absolutely....

I just have to see how this stuff holds up now, I have very little doubt there will be any problems.

Jamie

Looks great !

What is the reason for the hd37 first?

Have you done any experiments to see how it holds up to stains? I have just received a gallon and will be doing a test patch. Any burnishing advice? Did you get the high speed burnished and use the hogshair pads?

Keep us informed how it is working for you.

Thanks for all the positive comments.
@ doorfx, I'm not sure about road salt maybe Scotty can answer that one.
@ radix2, I put down the densifier first to add strength to the surface. Jack stands, floor jacks and dropped tools MAY not hurt it so much. I definitely recommend using the hogs hair pads, and keep the burnisher moving but slowly to generate heat into the surface. When I started the first part I was moving too quick but when I slowed down the result was much better. I also went from side to side and the front to back while burnishing. Whether that influenced the finish or not I have no idea.
@ Scotty - email coming with shirt size. @ Cave Creek Ray, no I have not got it wet yet.
@ K Powers, yes, the pad was power trowelled.

I just ordered HD40 for my new garage and I did not consider HD37. I wonder if it is worth adding that to my project. I have 4500 PSI floor. What is yours?

3,500 psi, 6" deep. I went with the HD37 densifier to try to harden the surface from chipping with dropped tools etc. I don't know how much difference it will make but it can't hurt

Coincidentally, we recently did a very comprehensive re-testing of our own sealers, products we may introduce in the future and competitive products. Our HD40 did very well in a 72 hour oil drop test over smooth concrete!! Outpaced many of the products available on the market!!

Jamiew66....Your BEFORE photos look identical to my floor. What are the dark splotches on the concrete? Is that from a curing sealer? And I see it also in the AFTER photos as well. Thanks
