Here are a few more pictures....To answer the questions, yes I am a Geologist working in the oil and gas exploration industry and live in Corpus Christi Texas. I don't work for a big oil company just have my office in the TOY BOX as you can see in the middle of all the toys. The garage is over 4000 sq ft and took over two years to design and build, most of the time was getting the permits from the city. It seems the city has limits on the size of detached garages, a trend that is moving across the nation. I had to ditch the first design which was over 10,000 sq ft and two stories, because of the new codes, that design cost over $50,000 in just design and engineering, wasted. However I am very pleased with what I was alowed to build. The City will never allow one like this again so it is unique. If I get some time I will post some pictures of the house, It is on the water on 1.5 acres and is over 13,000 sq ft. that is the reason my garage doesn't over power the house. In the end that was why the city finally approved what I built. Thanks guys for all the interest. BTW sorry about the high cost of gasoline, but we independent oil guys in the US these days only drill for natural gas not oil, Most of the oil was found and produced in my fathers generation.
