I was doing research on four post lifts when I came across this site. I wish I had found it earlier. I'm a 56 year-old carpenter (currently out of work) living in a place where everyone else goes for vacation. I started my dream shop/garage project in 2007, out-of-pocket and in my spare time. Ended up refinancing the home to keep the project going. Got the roof on,siding on, purchased my dream car, and the economy went to hell. I managed to finish the garage so the car had a home, but the rest has been slow. The building is 40' x 90'. Garage is 40' x 30', shop is 40' x 40', office/apartment is 20' x 40'. (I told you it was my DREAM shop). I'm now working on the woodshop area, trying to get to a functional stage without cutting corners (something I've built a reputation on). I ran 6" PVC pipe (dust collector), 3/4" conduits (power), and 1/2" PVC (air lines) under my slab to all my planned machine placements (hate all the overhead stuff). Also ran 1/2" PEX tubing 12" OC throughout the shop and apartment slab (electric space heater in the garage). I'll try to post some pics. Looking forward to searching out new info from all of you. Look me up if you're ever in my area.
