I think you did pretty well. There are never deals like that in Ohio. I've only seen two *decent* Snap-on deals on CL within 5 hours of me.

That box in central Ohio would go for under $1500.00 dollars So glad that GJ told me about the con job last night on CL for a top of the line box for $1800.00 dollars that just never happens here...(snap on boxes go for big dollars)!

Beat up Matco that I didn't really want but just took because it was free. I'm sure I'll find something to do with it once I get the drawers running smoothly.

.

Yeah that's beat up but I would've been glad to have it. Intermediates are my favorite toolboxes because they fit anywhere. They go on shelves, they go on workbench tops, they go on welding carts (at least mine, mine is a wheelchair). More versatile in my opinion.

Nice looking box you picked up there. I just picked up a top and bottom set of these for a steal also.

At five bills you stole that box! You should be on the lookout for a KR550/650 which fits perfectly (lines up) on the right side of your KR660 or go with a KR670 if you want the full size top (with deep long bottom drawer) You will then have all the room you will ever need and a deep drawer for those sockets that are giving you trouble. Speaking of sockets. Have you tried laying them on their sides to get them in the drawers?

That KR660 is a box that you can use and enjoy for several lifetimes. Welcome to the club

It briefly entered my mind to lay them on their sides but I have a lot of deep sockets and it would just take up a ton of room. The KR550 sounds nice, maybe I'll run across one someday down the road. In the mean time I'll just get used to bending over for my sockets. To be honest it's not really bad having my pliers/screwdrivers/wrenches near the top. Thanks.

Damn nice box and a great price too. Around here you'd pay $1200+. Been looking for quite a while and people will sell used SO tools for more than you get them off the truck!!

The top box that went with the KR660 back in 1990 was a KR690
Thanks.. and drool! I would love to find one of these. That big drawer would solve my only complaint.

Very nice balane. I know what it's like to get into a quality box when you may have not ever thought you would own one. About a year a ago I sold my CM setup to get an older Matco roll cab. Mine needs some paint and is not as clean as yours. These older (80's) boxes are built like tanks and have about as much metal.

Anyways, you got a very good deal on a nice box.
