Mine came in today and it got right to work on a lower intake gasket and water pump. Yeah, this thing is way stronger than my old CT4410 and it's lighter. My dealer gave me too good a deal in trade on my broken (bad trigger switch) CT4410 to pass up.

Looks like it's laying on top of a Buick 3800. The lower intake bolts are only torqued at 189 inch pounds. :D

It's cool to see other guys liking their 8810 too. Every day I use mine, I'm more impressed. I really like how it rips off lock nuts..... something my 4410 would moan n groan through or wouldn't do at all!

Yeah you caught me. :D But in my defense I'll just gently run em down with the cordless and finish off with a torque wrench.

And you were very close, it was a Buick 3800.....in a Chevrolet.

The only thing keeping me away from getting the snap on is that i dont want to switch to another battery platform. I wonder if IR will come out with a more powerful model.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous !!!!!!!!

Yeah, if the wife finds out I'll be sleeping in my truck. I've been using one of my CT4410's all day at work today and the weight is a little up there compared to my other cordless 3/8's but it had no problems breaking the heads off of those 5/16" bolts:lol_hitti After the first 10 broken ones I figured it best to go a little easier on the throttle.

I'm not trading soon, I have the complete ni cad SO system from the 12 v ratchet to every 18 v tool. I'm happy and not replacing anything for a long time.

I'm not either, I have two 18 volt drills, two 18v 1/2" impacts and two of the 4410's along with six batteries. Mine are just going to keep getting rebuilt until batteries are no longer available.

Hey guys I stumbled across this forum searching for "snap on ct8810". I`m just curious if anyone has and any problems with theirs. mine crapped out in less than 24 hours, Had it for one afternoon the day I bought it. The next day it had a meltdown. Been without it for almost four weeks now after I dropped $600 on it!

sounds odd. Most companies who release new products would take such a rapid failure back for examination and just give you a new one.

A kid at the shop I work in already had his 18v lithium drill rebuilt, I think it lasted 3 months. I just bought a Matco 14.4 drill to try out, not sure I want to spend the money to switch completely over to Matco even if I like it.

What are the specs on the ct8810? I looked it up online but found nothing. I did read something saying 230lbs and 300lbs breakaway but nothing confirmed. I have the half inch brother of this gun. I also have the mg325 and that's fairly new. I am just not a fan of air houses anymore but the 3/8" has to come pretty close to the mg325 in size and power before I'll replace it.

My thing is this, I use the cordless **** way more than I ever used the air tools. They hook up and go faster and have no hose to get in my way. I still have my mg725 as a back up though. There has been a few times when I needed the power of a good air impact

That's the specs on the box. 230 foot pounds max torque. Its not going to replace air if you depend on the power of a 3/8 pneumatic.

Matco makes some really nice stuff. One thing really turns me off their cordless line though and that's the inclusion of only 1 battery with their kits. Priced similar to Snap-On model for model, but Snap-On, like most, gives you two batteries. I don't understand Matco's reasoning other than trying to be cheapskates and forcing poor techs to fork out cash for another expensive battery.

The mg325 looks a lot smaller all-around as well. I don't know I might still be willing to replace it. I use my cordless stuff all the time. My air tools have become paper weights and when I need to get them out I dred it Lol.

Example the cordless 1/4" I just got a few weeks ago has been used more than the far 25 has been in the six months prior to getting the cordless. I also got the ct661 3/8" and I use that thing constantly. Good I love that little 3/8 gun.

The 8810 is a nice step up from the 4410 I was on the fence about buying it when it was offered to me my 4410 was in great shape still. But I made the plunge and it has been worth it for the power increase. Actual numbers do not know I think the box says 230.

Matco only offering one battery is what has made me hold off for the reason you mentioned, a $200 spare battery. I did just buy a 14.4 drill brand new off the internet the other day for a great price figuring I can trade off one my 4410's and get the matco 14.4 impact. Then I would have two batteries and a spare drill. Too bad I just found out the Matco dealer is getting out of it this month, sounds like too many people either not buying anything or not paying their bills. Now I'm back to the drawing board, probably trade it off or sell it.

It's easier to break loose a bolt/nut if it's still new or not as corroded. How many of us are lucky enough to run into such clean fasteners every day? Still, the gun is badass!

Asked my dealer about the CT8810, didnt know anything but he called corporate and they sent the owner's manual via email.

Looks like there will be a few other models available in the future:

I have the Matco 14.4 volt drill and impact versus the Snap On 14.4 volt drill, the Snap On is better balanced and a little shorter and even though the SO Ct4410 is rated 5 pounds of torque less than the Matco, but the Snap On will ***** slap the Matco and take its lunch.

Throw it on a stubborn 10mm or 13mm bolt

Lol yeah when it starts pecking away at a stubborn bolt it gets loud but all impacts do.

Even worse one of the LED lights must be loose on mine so when it starts pecking the one light starts flickering. My rep said he will warranty it but I am in no hurry to get it in and be without the tool. Its pretty messed up though this issue happened within the first month.

I figured I would give up a little since I run 18v batteries on my Snap on. I was just wanting to switch over since my batteries are about worn out and my snap on dealer ***** to deal with. I had Interstate rebuild two batteries and lost a lot of power compared to a Snap on battery.
