Not technically I can not. What happened was the box was clearanced out. So I bought it at the clearance price. I had to buy it as is but I worked out for me. Sears is a great place to have a part time job alot of guys I work with are retired and work on the weekends just for fun and the discount

Never looked at your local store's "clearance" aisle? Most of the stores Ive been in have them mostly full of returns, tho the prices can vary from lil/nothing off to 90%+.

For future reference OP, if you call Sears customer service they will happily send you new Cman keys to a "clearance" toolbox bought at the store for free.

Lol I know I call them all the time I just didnt want to wait the week because the wheels were in the bottom drawer and I didnt want to take it off the truck until the wheels were on it. ^_^ work smart not hard lol didnt feel like moving it 100 times without wheels

Can I ask what's wrong with the grip latch?

I'm curious as I have 4 different boxes with the grip latch and 2 of them rode around in the back of a van for 10 years. They're still around in that rough environment.

Are they different now?

I was thinking about getting a single 40" drawer grip latch mid chest.

Sadly ours doesn't. Well it has a clearance shelf or two. Where they offer misc sets, mostly sockets and the like missing quite a few pieces and the discounts not that great. Occasionally they have a top box sitting on the floor. But they usually look like they fell off the truck at speed :shocking:. Again discount isn't that great IMHO.

We use to have a sears outlet that was freaking awesome. Small scratch -$200, no joke. I bought a lot of my tools there just clearance out the old models, ex a real nice hacksaw for $2. Nothing wrong with them. Sadly that location has closed down and the new outlet store is a ghost town full of overpriced, very damaged merchandise. O sears.

Excellent! You did better than I did, IMO. I got that exact box for less money, working fine, also no keys, but a couple dings / scratches and mine was covered in body shop dust and splattered with bondo ...I would have easily paid what you did to avoid that mess!
