well its about time! The garage is finally 100% painted! Most of the outlet covers are installed. I just have to gain some courage to replace the old outlets and switches....I hate working with electricity lol

I'm going to Lowes in the morning to buy a bunch of base board trim, and some Killz to paint it all white.

I have a carpet place coming out Tuesday to give me a quote on new padding, carpet, and installing the base board in the loft.

Once thats done, I have my eyes on a new leather 3 seat reclining theatre sofa at SAMS club.

It will replace my 2 piece couch/love seat thats downstairs. I'll have the moving men move that stuff up into the loft lol

At the advise of member Woogeroo, I contacted a local company about repairing my lenses, and found someone to do it! SO excited!

Making some sweet sweet progress today. Carpet is upstairs. They also did a little foyer with some leftover hardwood the previous owners left behind JUST enough!

Also, stripped all the bad trim off my Pontiac sign, in preparation of bringing it to a sign place for repair

whats the dimension of the loft?

The loft is actually 30x14. I thought it was 30x12. Here are the better pictures. I'm very pleased with the loft...not bad for using some leftover paint, and extra hardwood flooring The carpet is just a standard berber with industrial padding...nothing too extravagant. Its so much quieter up there and the heat retention is much better too, or maybe its just my mind playing tricks on me lol

What do you guys think?

Does anyone happen to know the height of this garage, ground to peak?

Excuse my first post, it is just that this garage is similar to what i would like to do with my garage build.

so today at sams I spotted that 3 piece couch. the price went from $1300 to $999 so im going to get one asap-!

And then I saw the motorized leather one I really wanted on a huge sale for $950 so I got that one! LOL

Got a call today that my sign is done too! I'll get that next week and hopefully get it finished next weekend!

so Tuesday I'm picking up my reconditioned sign lenses. I've made arrangements with my buddy to come down this weekend and hopefully wire up all my LEDs. In poking around on the internet tonight, I found some pictures of the dealership my sign came from

I got my reconditioned lenses back!

I went from this old nasty white trim

To red!

Here are some Z brackets they made. Their purpose is to space the LEDs 5.5" off the back, and 4" from the lens.

I started reading you build some time ago and never finished it. Once I started reading it, I knew I saw part of it before. It's come along way since the last time I checked in. It came out very nice.

You need to frame one of those pictures and hang it in the garage for people to see where it came from.

Made some progress today. The sign place made these standoffs. 5.5" wide, 6.5" tall. Spaces the LED's about 4" off the lenses.

Got the P wired up, and part of the O

Here is how they look lit up. With the naked eye you can't see the bright spots from the strips, just a uniform glow

Today we finished lighting the O

and also the NTIA

We are experiencing a voltage drop on the NTI, so we need to run a new power wire to them
