oval tubing custom made by the ex nascar crew chief that thought he could charge whatever he wanted without doing a quote or without receiving approval. Still mad about that $*** that happened.

justintiime, how do you get from the downstairs to the upstairs? Do you walk out onto the loft and use the outside stairs?

I took a trip down to pcm of nc today. My car is mostly done, so I wanted to check out the work, and take my car for the first drive in the last 6 months its been apart :)

It fires right up like a clap of thunder...its surprising! The 4" Mufflex exhaust sounds amazing, and surprisingly enough doesn't seem to drone at all in overdrive.

The car drive smooth with no bucking or jerking that I could tell.

I did a 20-100 pull in just a few seconds! The power is unreal! A 300 horsepower increase is quite a jump lol. The BEST part (to me) is that I can't hear the blower! Not at idle, not cruising, and certainly not at WOT. Noone will ever suspect whats under the hood :D

I took the car out yesterday. It was 55* and sunny here in VA...perfect winter day for a cruise! We went to Roanoke, about 45 minutes away, to a monthy club dinner.

The car performed wonderful! Alvin really did a good job with the tune. As he puts it "it drives like a baby" no bucking, jerking, surging....just nice smooth power.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear are useless right now. I really need warm weather and more importantly, a good tire. Looking into some weld rt-s wheels with a 15x10 out back. I still haven't been able to do a WOT run....seriously there is no traction. I can ease in to it in 4th gear, but the axle hops around until about 70mph :( My wife made me do it though...she was bugging the hell out of me to see how fast it is now lol she's a keeper!

My check engine light came on. One code for a MAF sensor voltage, and one for a clutch switch circuit. I'm pretty sure that both of them should have been turned off in the tune. Waiting to hear from Alvin on how to proceed...probably just have to send my PCM in to get it taken care of.

Overall, very happy. The new exhaust sounds amazing, too!

Fellow birdman... I just added my 2nd Firebird to the "nest". I have enjoyed your garage, shed, and car builds. Keep up the great/hard work!

Try the BFG Rival tire. Excellent dry response. although they say it's not great in wet conditions. Seems all the talk on the NTO5's follows your experience. BFG's Drag Radials will hook good, if what you mainly do is straight line acceleration. May not last too long in extended street driving.

Well I went a different route with my car. I am going with 18x9.5" Weld RT-S wheels on the front and 18x10" on the rear. I'm going to run a 305-35-18 mickey thompson car on the rear. May hook better, but I have a feeling I'm going to need a 15" wheel on the back.

Also, have been collecting vintage signage for my garage. Hope to hang it this weekend, and will get some pictures!

Long time no posts!

I've been collecting some signage for the garage. I've also been saving some money to frame my 50's Pontiac Service posters. They will be done soon, and hung in the loft. Will share when those are done :)

Some new signs I recently purchased. I found the large Pontiac sign locally :)

I hung the story of my 67 pontiac after 3 years lol Also got a cool Texaco sign that I hung.

The Amalie sign is new to me. This is towards the front of the garage near my bench

Just purchased and hung the 12' Pontiac/GMC sign. The center says "Official vehicles of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team"

Found this cool Texaco locally too :)

Old Champion spark plug holder. Whats inside?

My oil cans!

Love the garage and firebird! I didn't see it in the pictures, but do you have stairs going up to the loft from the inside? Thanks, Josh

So I am currently reviewing a proposal to add to my garage. I want to add a 17x34 lean-to on the side of my garage. It would be all metal construction, with a poured concrete reinforced floor. It will have a 34" door to allow access from main garage, and also a 9 foot electric garage door. It will also have 3 36" windows. This space would be to store 2 cars. a 1965 Oldsmobile Starfire, and my recently acquired 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP. Plans at this time are to leave it not climate controlled. The walls will be unfinished at this time.

I have already removed 3 trees and 2 stumps that were in the way. Waiting for the utility company to come out on June 3rd so I can see if they can move a utility pole guide wire that IS in the way. If they can't move it, then I may have to rethink this whole thing :(
