I just found a K60/K200 combo... it's in pretty good shape... no bad damage, paint worn to the point of needing repaint, but it's complete and solid.
The guy is asking $600 per half, which seems a tad high to me.
Okay, $1,200 for a vintage box that needs to be restored, in this economy, seems a LOT high to me. But I'm a cheap *******, so I don't really know!
What are these going for these days?
I've got a set already, but it needs a full restoration, including making one new door and replacing the piano hinge. (warped from brazing)
Thinking on it... I've outgrown my Craftsman box, and two of these K60/K200 combos would probably be enough to meet my tool storage requirements!
But I don't want to pay $1,200 for a box that needs to be restored, especially if that's top dollar.
Thoughts?
(and no, sorry, no pics at this time)
