haven't found any information on the old saws, where did you find that information?
Mostly on Vintage Machinery's website!
I still have some PDF files of several models of the Kalamazoo bandsaws, some of them are fairly large so e-mail works better.
Sending you a PM with my e-mail info.

dwall174, I have an early three step saw (it has a 4-step on the gearbox and 3-step on the motor) but haven't found any information on the old saws, where did you find that information? It looks like it would be helpful for my rebuild. It even shows the early cast aluminum belt guard like my saw has.

Also, would you have still have the files for the instruction sheets? I really like the look and would like to put them on my saw.

This is very interesting. Mine also had a 3 pulley on the motor, but 4 on the gearbox. Motor was replaced, so I assumed it was the wrong pulley, but maybe that’s how it came. I was looking for a four step on the motor as well, like in this diagram, but might not need that.

I have an 824. It's a big beast, but I found a spot to park it on a rolling base, so I decided to keep it. Cosmetically, it's a mess, but it cuts well. Maybe some day I'll go through it.

I doubt mine is fully original but this is what they look like and how it works. Ed.

I have been looking for a weather proof switch to put in there. I might end up using a toggle switch with one of the rubber boots on it. I plan on running flood coolant, and didn’t want water on a regular switch. Haha, those mix so well, you know.

Mine was missing the original plunge rod, but the original switch has a small metal clip that's attached to it that has two holes through it so the plunge rod can activate the switch.
I just bent a piece of 1/4" rod & attached the curve of the rod to the two holes in the switch/clip.
It worked out well since I could turn it off easily if needed.
