Of course nothing can ever just work I now have to start over. I WILL NEVER BUY KRYLON AGAIN!!! THIS PAINT IS AWFUL!!! I would be really happy with the finish if I was going for the “ Dump a gallon of paint on it, then pour a bag of dirt on it” There is no “hammering” and the can just spit little pieces of **** all over everything! And both cans I bought did this!! Now I have to start back at square one, and the weather is supposed to go to **** for at least the next 2 weeks. I’m going to get Rustoleum when I start over.:shoot5::tantrum2::tantrum2::tantrum2::tantrum2::tantrum2::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

It might be the paint, but you might just need to practice on some scrap pieces first.

In any event, Kennedy 520s (as far a I know) are wrinkle, not hammered finish.

Wrinkle takes a bit of practice as well.

The paint is JUNK, I tried it on different stuff after same thing, I know the paint is wrong but I like hammered paint (when it works)and it's close enough for me.

Oh dear. Hate it when something like that happens! I bet the new paint will be horrible to rub down and be like a sticky mess for ages until it dries hard enough to sand properly.
Put it to one side, do something else for a while, then attack it when you're ready.
Some of the finish in your pictures looks a bit like the paint may have bubbled or blistered.. Likely it's just the **** cans of paint but here's a link to an article about the problem which which was helpful to me:

Paint can be tricky. Temps, humidity, surface cleanliness, even different cans of the same color can be different. And if you have partially used older cans been sitting for while? Nightmare city!

I've thought of this, but if I were redoing a box I would just leave the felt out
I’m going to use cork, non glued. Just drop it in. One could simply get a nice backing material and glue the felt to that, then just drop them in-no fuss and you’ve got the original look/protection, and zero headaches of installing felt into freshly repainted drawers.
