Can anyone tell me what model of tool box this is?
It doesn't have any identification numbers anywhere just the Kennedy logo.

While Kennedy is known for their small drawer machinist's chests, they've always offered the larger drawer mechanic's chests and rollers. These were often in red, but also offered in brown.

A guy is tradeing me an Oxwall. Bench vice opens up up to 9 inches for the box . Should I consider his offer? How much is my box worth?

Around here they aren’t as common as the machinist chests. When they come up for sale here it’s usually around $100 if they’re pretty nice. I guess it all depends on if you need a vise more than a tool box.

In my neck of the woods, a box like that goes for roughly $40 to $60. The little 7 drawer machinist chest goes for about the same. From the picture of the vise, it looks like it's between 4 and 5 inches wide. It also appears to be missing the two screw in vise jaws.

IMO you are on the losing end of that deal for a trade. Oxwall tools were never high quality to begin with. I don't think that you would be able to find replacements for them. You would have to make your own which would not be a problem if you are machinist or know one.

I would keep the box and buy a cheap but functional vise at Lowe's or Home Depot. You will still have a high quality dependable tool box and not a piece of junk vise. For what it is worth, you can probably get a similar vise for between $5 and $10 at a garage sale if you can take the time to hunt one down. I just picked up a Wilton 4 1/2 Tradesman vise which is very similar to the one in your picture for $2 at a yard sale.

No way in hell I'd trade the Kennedy for that vise. That vise is $10 tops. Maybe $5.
