I've never stick built anything more than a shed, so: please explain how you join each 10' wall section. I'm assuming studs nailed to a 10ft bottom and top plate, then the whole assembly lifted up and set plumb, but now what? What do you do to attach the next 10ft wall section to the first one?
Fabulous build BTW, and what an amazing location. No visible neighbors! I hear you about wanting more land. My 2.2 acres is about 8 acres too small!
Awesome picture, you need to make an 8x10, frame and hang that in the bldg.
very nice so far! keep those pics coming! what color are you going to finish the outside in?
Wow, I wasn't expecting this. I was figuring regular trusses not a gambrel style truss. It looks good.
My guess, the other trusses will allow a full ceiling height for the use of a lift.
I don't even have a roof on and my brother (the one with the ZRX) is already bring stuff for me to store.
[My other brother had some cherry milled for him and I'm storing it for him. I have the jointer and planer, so it would need to come here anyway.
I hope the storage fee is a percentage of the lumber! Cherry is one of my favorite woods.
Man-o-man, it's looking good.![]()

Mind me asking what this is running you? I am looking at doing something very very similar. I would be adding a living quarters to the upstairs and possible slightly taller doors. Are you using siding on the outside? I think I will have to brick mine.
Awesome build!
I have about $15k in concrete not counting the insulation and PEX. Last I checked my list I was estimating $15k for materials, but I don't have everything on that list. I've been saying $35k total, but will probably go over. I've found some good deals on some stuff though.
Oh and $35 for a permit, no inspections (Nuttsgt this is your que)
Why so much in concrete?? How thick is your slab?
Also, how big is your attic space? I will be looking to add a small living quarters to mine, and wanting to see about the sq ft your size offers.
Thanks again! Hope you don't mind the questions.

I am in Arkansas. I may go a slight bit higher so I can get a little more width inside the upstairs. I do not know of a menards in Arkansas. But I am in the construction industry, so I know a few people to help out there.
If you wanted to change the size of your building at all to add a slight bit more room upstairs what would you do? (already considering you have a full Gambrel roof).
Where'd the cat come from ? The gable end still open next to the lower roof ?
