I'm getting ready to install the cover panel on the backside of my kitchen peninsula. It a 1/4" thick cover panel. I threw a straight edge and the unfinished side of the cabinets and found the back's of the cabinets are out quite a bit.
The Drawer base 36" is 24 1/16" deep. The lazy susan 33 (corner cabinet) is 23 15/16" at it's widest and 23 11/16" at the skinniest point. That's a difference of 1/8" to 3/8". The face frames of these cabinets are screwed flush with one another.
(The lazy susan is actually 32 11/16" at the skinniest point. I subracted 9" (door opening) from 32 11/16" to get to 23 11/16")
Should I just cut some shims and tack them to the back of the lazy susan?
