One subtitle to this would be “Getting Old Really *****”. I do handy man work on the side and between sometimes working on rough surfaces, working in the cold sometimes, and having old knees all the time – I need to replace the old foam pads I’ve been using. They are sorta small and just foam and are a bit annoying when I stand then kneel, then stand etc. So I need a pair that are comfortable when standing and still protect on rough surfaces.
I did a search here for knee pad suggestions and the most recent where I found a discussion on them was 2 years old. The differences in pads mostly seem to be: “gel” vs. foam padding, non-skid vs. “skidable”. But a number of the links were to products no longer available. I found a few interesting looking sets on Amazon within my “budget” (less than $30). Here are the ones I found:
Custom Leathercraft 339 Armor-Flex Kneepads and 345 Professional Kneepads
Gel Elite Kneepads by Gamba Tools
Barwalt Tool KN-1 Ultralight Knee Pad (no idea if these are gel or foam)
Any input, on these or other pads, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
