After dealing with FedEx's virtual assistant for about 10 days, I finally waited on the phone to speak with a human. FedEx agent told me that my tracking number didn't belong to me - end of conversation. No further resolution or explanation of what happened to the package FedEx lost (it was a pair of NOS vintage Time Mag Ti pedals for a titanium bike I am restoring - not easily replaced, I'd been searching for months).

Fortunately the seller issued a refund... I will never again voluntarily use FedEx (can't control which carrier a seller chooses).

To bring this rant back on point, I also ordered 2 items from MDS. Received a "credit memo" on one item & thought "what the hell is this" - not understanding that it was their way of saying they were out of stock and issuing a refund. Once I figured it out, I shot off an email canceling my whole order because I wasn't about to pay their $10.80 shipping for a single pair of pliers. Fortunately, the other pair of pliers arrived on my porch the next day. Turns out the "credit memo" refunded the shipping charge as well, so I ended up getting the Knipex wire rope cutters for $23 with free shipping. Only wish I'd found out about the sale earlier...

So this box was just delivered to me... over a year after I placed the order!? Mobile Supply had issued me a credit last January, so I guess I'll reach out and see what is going on. It was shipped FedEx SmartPost which hands it off to USPS for final delivery. USPS tracking shows that they received it on 1-25-23. Did Fedex really sit on the package for a year? Seems hard to believe.

If FedEx lost it, the company was probably already credited for the shipment.

Jeesh, are you planning to open an online store?

That looks to be of similar order for anyone that got lucky to order from them. Prices were too good to worry asking the wife if you had permission to spend

Would you believe I just received my package today as well? 387 days after I placed the order. Tracking shows FedEx handed it off to USPS this morning. I wonder if the FedEx folks in Memphis just found a pile of lost boxes and sent them on their way.

Mobile Distributor Supply refunded my credit card last year. I'll shoot 'em an email and give 'em a heads up that they can charge me for them now if they like. I think they'll say 'forget it', and I can marvel in my belated good fortune. :)

The official reply "Mr. Chainsaw, nothing for you to do. Thank you for your business." xmas

I know this is an old post - but I am in the same situation. I will even pay (somewhat) extra to use another option.
I had a problem with a package about at a year ago. Should have been an easy question but their automated phone system refused to ever transfer me to a human. I do not recall how many different random extensions I had too call (and get repeated hung up on by their automated system) until I finally found an option that would transfer me to a person (who grumpily failed to answer my question but eventually gave me another number who did).
What a disaster on customer service - horrendous.

And nice username. S4 by the look of it?

If you acquired the pliers you need in the meantime, please send these my way -- I'm still crying over Mobile Distributor Supply canceling my huge order after placing it during this deal last year, and I have checked their site wistfully more than a few times since then in the hopes that the deal will return...
