My matco dealer has these on his truck and swears by them. just wondering if anyone else has tryied them? What is your opinion? KNIPEX EXTRACTORS
I have a feeling till the end of time, man will still be trying to build a better bolt extractor.Just think of all the different extractor designs produced over the years.
And the majority of them work. Some better then others. But they all excel in different situations. Thats why owning various types is benificial. Ive honestly had better luck welding nuts onto broken bolts. Rather then wasting tons if time drilling then messing with an extractor that doesnt get it out anyway. These extractors look promissing.
If it doesn't come out with a left hand drill bit, it either gets welded or slapped in the mill.these are really ment to be used when the bolt is broken off below the surface.
uhm, aren't they all? Otherwise a pair of pliers or pipe wrench is hard to beat.

I generally have more luck with the left hand twist style than those squared off extractors. The problem with them is you have to knock them into the hole you drilled which expands the fastener against the threads.
They're already available.
