It's a good deal, of you need them. These are not for cutting, but rather for tightening band clamps, such as found in irrigation lines. It has a more blunt esge, where as end nippers have one for cutting.

I have the set which have both end and side jaws.

While the side jaws actually do not meet, I can assure you that the end jaws are sufficiently sharp to cut the ear off of an Oetiker clamp if you use have the jaws cut the strap end on. I use it all the time to un-do these clamps.

can you use it for crimping? I read some reviews on Amazon and some people said it was difficult to crimp

It's ok for 1/2" PEX cinch clamps, though perhaps a little difficult if you have weak hands. It's the best tool out there for anything smaller.

Once you get to the 3/4" clamps, it is a struggle to close them with this. I can use it, but my hands are worn out by the second clamp. And I'm not even sure if it's possible to use this to close 1" clamps.

If you're closing a lot of larger stepless Oetiker rings, then a compound leverage tool is your friend. If you're using this on automotive rings, or on irrigation (double ear rings require less force, but aren't strong enough for PEX line pressure), then it's great.

This Knipex video says they aren't supposed to, but I'm sure with enough force anything is possible. Compared to pliers that are meant for cutting, these should be more difficult to do it with. They are Knipex, so I guess I'm not that surprised

I think my comment wasn't all that clear. It won't damage the ear if used in the proper orientation where the jaw engages the flat surface of the metal (the way it is pinching in the video). But if you turn it so it bites in edge-on, it can cut the ear apart. I don't actually cut the ear off, because that's cutting two layers of metal. Just cut it open, and the clamp splits for easy removal.

To hell with Slickdealers, they know nothing about what they're buying, full of consumerist mindsets---heck they probably don't even work around their own property and thus always hiring contractors

I ordered my pliers right when the deal came out but was notified that there was a delay.
I just checked and they canceled the order. I don’t mind though, because I just found the side crimp version on Amazon for $20
