The Knipex (they say it kin-uh-pex) rep stopped by the tool store where I work and showed some samples and left a catalog and price list.
Oh my gosh, I didn't have any idea just how huge their product line is. They make a bazillion specialty snips, strippers, pliers, etc.
I also was quite surprised at how the majority of their line is geared to electrical/electronic work, where I usually thought of them as makers of mechanics pliers (only).
I was impressed at the design and quality of the pliers they showed, I didn't know about many of the handy features of the Cobra pliers etc.
No real question here, just wanted to express my respect for their products and the staggering product line.
Oh, he asked me how I heard of Knipex (he was surprised) and I told him that I read about them on The Garage Journal!

I knew they were "for the electrical crowd", and didn't know they had anything a tech like myself might be interested in. Hence the reason they are never with the rest of the hand tools. Never heard of cobra pliers until a few months ago, and to be honest, didn't take much interest since I try to avoid those type pliers.
