Agreed. If you can only buy one size, it would be the 10".
I got my 10" at Sears for $37. Never saw it for less than that, but yeah, it's years too late now.Your years too late (don't think they still sell them)...
Craftsman used to sell the 10" set for $20, pretty regularly and they had a package with both the 10" an 7".
Might keep your eyes peeled for them used though.
He's a Snap-On guy, I'm taking little steps. This is the first part of my intervention showing him there are other great tools out there. Nothing wrong with SO tools, in fact there is a lot of good in them, I'm just showing him the world.save the money and just get the multipack with all three of the sizes in one
Doesn't Snap-On sell Knipex tools out of their franchisee trucks? He's a Snap-On guy, I'm taking little steps. They're also apt to tell you Snap-On OWNS Knipex.Yes, Im pretty sure, but every SO guy knows that the ones with the SO printed on them are way higher quality
But doesn't HF own Snap-on? I saw it on the internet. They're also apt to tell you Snap-On OWNS Knipex.

You all talking about the pliers wrench or cobras?I got my 10" at Sears for $37. Never saw it for less than that, but yeah, it's years too late now.
Yup, my thoughts exactly. I've never seen Craftsman Pliers Wrench style pliers sold at Sears. You all talking about the pliers wrench or cobras?
Good Luck. Funny how many folks said I use the 7" the most but I would get the 10 if I could only have one. Thanks to all. Looks like I'll be picking up the 10" ones.
I thought Elon Musk Tweeted it. Therefore it must be true. But doesn't HF own Snap-on? I saw it on the internet.

Oops, cobra's.You all talking about the pliers wrench or cobras?
I'm looking to buy a Knipex pliers wrench for my nephew who is a John Deere mechanic. What would be the best size to buy for him? I'm only going to buy one to see if he likes them. Would you start with the 7 1/4" or the 10"?
The 2 piece Pliers Wrench set (7" & 10") is p/n 9K0080109USKnipex sells the 7 inch and 10” together in a set.
It’s the most useful automotive sizes.
That is why they package them together as a set.

I was talking about the pliers wrench at Sears. At one time they had the 10" and maybe the 12", and I used a coupon for the 10". I don't actually own any cobras, but that explains the price difference. You all talking about the pliers wrench or cobras?
I actually bought my first Pliers Wrench about 10 years ago at a Sears. Was competitively priced.I was talking about the pliers wrench at Sears. At one time they had the 10" and maybe the 12", and I used a coupon for the 10". I don't actually own any cobras, but that explains the price difference.
The HF Icon version is a remarkably good clone of the Knipex original design. Been using a pair for a few months and aside from a slightly softer and puffier grip material, they handle and perform exactly the same as their German counterparts.Has anyone tried the HF copy of the 10” pliers wrench? Or the Milwaukee copies of the 7 and 10”?
For me the XS is an everyday carry pliers. It fits nicely in my jeans watch pocket.Same for me.
I unintentionally ended up with every single size they make for the Pliers Wrench (except the novelty XS). I use the 7" the most but if I were to only have one it would be the 10". Same for the Cobra, if I could only have one, 10".

You're right the title is kind of vague. I'll try to do better the next time I post.Knipex sells the 7 inch and 10” together in a set.
