Picked up a little brochure on Kobalt "Sockets for life" program - what a sucky program .........
First off they need your name, address, socket set #& reference number off your receipt to set up an account.
Here's the good part: if you have a "lost, missing, or misplaced socket", you can log into your account, you can select the missing sockets, and place your order, (also have an 800 number), and they will be shipped to you.
Here's the sucky part: "Shipping and handling charges do apply..." & "Shipping and handling charge is per socket".
So far, ehh... but, the charge per socket: $4.95 for 1/4, 3/8, & 1/2 sockets. $5.95 impact sockets, $6.95 3/4 drive sockets.
Cheaper for many of the sockets to just buy them individually at the store. Order two or three sockets from a set and it's cheaper to buy the whole set.
Now why would anyone do anything else?
Or did I miss something?
