On Labor Day responded to an ad for a drill press, old school Craftsman.
While I was there, he showed me a cabinet that was full of some goodies. This had been left behind, maybe two owners of the house ago.
Now the vise came with the drill press...
and all this other stuff was thrown in....at no charge...
box of brass fittings...
Bluepoint tap and die set
red box of whatnot...honestly, I don't know what a lot of this stuff is...
but some of it is snapon
mopar wrench
compression tester?
I didn't get a couple of pics. One of the boxes had a bunch of little endcaps in it....the other one had what looks like a small vise.
I asked him about the cabinet. He had no interest in it. Went back tonight and picked it up.
I have another cabinet EXACTLY like this one, same dimensions, style, everything, but this one is on casters, that one isn't. This one is 6" higher thanks to the castors. Thinking of cleaning this one up and painting a nice blue.
Okay...I know what you're thinking....what did I pay. Drill press was $75. All the stuff in the cabinet was thrown in. He asked me how much I'd give him for the cabinet, I offered $30, more than fair considering he gave me all that stuff that was in it.
Oh...and picked this up on Sunday...
Another $30.
So $135 for all this stuff. How did I do?!
Hey Neal...no deals down here in Georgia!
