I much prefer the power of a large 9" grinder when I have space for it. The material removal rate is just so much better. I would rather use diamond cutting tools on concrete, but if you have them, why not use them? I imagine they would make just as much, if not more of a mess than the diamond wheels. I have a helper hold the shop-vac near the grinding wheel to catch as much of the dust as possible. Definetly wear a respirator, eye and hearing protection.
