When I got the first reply I found and used the inquiry email at stego. They responded quickly and agreed with LLWillys:
“Spray paints of various kinds have been applied to Stego Wrap for decades and we are unaware of any issue with the performance of the wrap as a result. Although some spray paint ingredients have potential to generally affect plastics (e.g. acetone, BTEX and other hydrocarbon solvents, etc.), including polyethylene, we have not tested Stego Wrap in contact with spray paints and cannot quantify the effect they may have. That being said, the propellants often used for spray paints are usually very volatile and therefore typically flash off quickly. The residual paint components are usually applied very thinly and represent small amounts in comparison to the mass of the wrap. “
