If you're half-serious at all about learning how to weld the RIGHT way and why (not just the 'tips & tricks!' :S) take classes at a school. There's no shortcut to becoming a good welder. Why blunder and bumble around on your own for ages, and then not even know if you're doing it right?? If you have a decent instructor, he'll let you know what you're doing right or wrong and how to correct it before it becomes a bad habit.
