I own a few of these. They are just incredible lighting. I have some of older pull chain style porcelain bases in my basement and garage areas. These are dead simple to install and adjust. For the convenience and ease of install five stars.

These would be a lot better if you could rotate the light panels to point up where they would could reflect the light off a bright ceiling or be used in a fixture with a reflector. I have one in the attached garage and while it’s bright as hell it has a small light circle with the panels horizontal. When you start adjusting the panels to spread the light you loose good lighting under it and start casting shadows around the garage.

I had some of these types for over a year, in the new house in utility rooms I ordered some more. If for some reason you have an issue with space around the socket there are all kinds of light socket extenders which might solve the problem.

The last ones I got came with some free. These are $20 for two.
