I used your link to download the software, wow! The first place it took me was to the lighting program for a 4 lane road... interesting. I did get to the right place, VERY helpful. Thank you VERY much! I will use the plan to fine tune my lighting plans. I changed the direction of a row to better light a row of workbenches. I will end up having 6 rows of lights. One lenght wise along a wall and the other 5 across the work bay. I decided to use 6 separate light switches so I don't always need all the lights. A minimal extra expense that I can easily do since the ceiling is not yet drywalled.

Well I went on there and downloaded that software, but man it is involved. A lot of variables there I didnt have the figures. Its asking for the type of lighting etc.

24X32 foot with 14 feet of it having ten foot ceilings. Then I go to a cathedral ceiling for the next 18 feet. Can you do a survey for my layout MX?

I will use flourescents, probably 8 footers X 2bulbs, of course I can use whatever I want, so I am open to changes. Energy efficient is a plus of course.

I hope you don't mind doing one more. I'm still in the planning stages of mine, but could use the help to figure out the lighting budget and wiring locations. I am thinking of using 4' twin-tube T8 fixtures on the ceiling perhaps 5 or 6 rows of fixtures The workbench lights could be a set of T8 fixtures with reflectors suspended on chains about 8' above the benches.

Length, Width, and Height: 60'Lx44Wx12' to bottom of joists. (open joists in a pole barn construction)
Roof Slope: 3:12. Ceiling will be painted and lights will hang off it.
Reflectance Wall, Ceiling, Floor: white semi-gloss walls and ceiling, sealed concrete floor
Power limitations, desires IE: 120v single phase
Let me know what you expect from the finished product. Automotive workshop with a two post lift on one bay. 2' of workbenches along one long wall and one side wall with auxiliary lighting directly over work space.

MxHonda;
If you have the time, I am having built a new home with a 3-car stacked garage.
The third bay will be my work space.
Below are the dimensions (it is basically L-shaped).
Garagelayout.jpg

Roof Slope: flat ceiling - Height, unknown at this time...walls not up yet. Assume normal height for garage on flat ground.

Reflectance Wall, Ceiling: white semi-gloss walls and ceiling. No texture on surface.

Floor: Debating between a light gray Epoxy Quartz coating OR a RaceDeck with white/Light gray checker with blue boarder.

Power: 120v single phase. I have requested additional outlets on the ceiling. The work space will be on it's own switch.

Let me know what you expect from the finished product.
Automotive workshop with a two post lift on right side of garage.
75% of the time is working on my cars or truck.
25% is wood working stuff or repairing things.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR PROVIDING THIS!!!!!
