S24 extension. Date code 1939. I would think it would have knurling at the top, also no "made in USA on it. its like it should be a 1936. The S24 is hard to find.

I picked this up the other day:
52879711990_5846071989_c.jpg
sadly, the model designation no longer there. But, looking at the inside
52879336816_e207a22020_c.jpg
it appears to be a metric case, along with needing a bit of restoration work. The brakes are clean, and should glue up nicely. I have a later BP metric set, and I might transfer it over to this.

Hi All -- First post in this thread. Recently came into some 1955 Snap On Ferret's. The tools that I got were all in a tool tray below and I want to know if it was the tray that went with the KR250 tool box that came with the those sets. The Internet archive 1955 catalog doesn't quite make it clear. This picture includes KTR 231 metal tray and the Deep Double Hex Sockets (SF), which somewhere along the line the owner replaced the 19/32" - 3/8" sockets with a set of Deep Single Hex sockets (SFS). Thanks.

I would think its for a wartime tool kit, but no idea as to which one.
Ever find more out about these? Mine looks identical but cant say for sure. Any idea about what year?

Here's a WW2 Snap On spark plug socket with a similar Walden version.
Found this Air Corps? #37A4708 in an inventory of items required for light mobile repair units of the IX Air Command Service (U.S. IX AF) dated 1944 so they would have been in England at that point.

Hoping somebody took you up on that offer.

The 9/32” Gripper socket driver, Gripper screw starter, and sockets I found at the flea market last week. I was super excited.

Pictured with the unmarked 5/16 hex drive handle and individual socket that were with them. I think there’s a chance the hex drive is Walden, seeing as how the set on AA is described as mostly unmarked, but who knows .

The 9/32 socket driver is a whopping 4” long.

Just in case anyone can give a positive ID on these.

Removable cross bar. Again, Walden may fit the bill.

For the benefit of those who aren't tracking the other thread, the atypical all-caps "SNAP-ON" branding that @MysteriousGT is referring to is complemented by what looks, to me, like an atypical 1942 stamp, and, even more atypically, a "PAT" marking and number for a heretofore unknown patent granted in 1940. More photos of those features on the other thread.

I was happy to find some screwdrivers and a cotter pin puller at an estate sale today. The triangle shaped handle with the long number was made for IBM by Snap-on, according to the internet. IMG_9036.jpeg
