Trying to identify an old red tool chest that I’ve recently picked up in the UK. Given to me as snap on, but shows no markings, other than made in Canada; no other markings or labels whatsoever. Age was advised at approximately 30-40 years. Can anybody assist please; hopefully I’m in the right thread..
As per my original message, there are no other markings on the box. Is anybody able to help identify?
More photographs added & the sizes are 26.5L 12.5D 15&1/4H.

Many thanks

A while back (last year) I picked this old box, seeing as I thought it had promise.

Turns out I wasn't too far off on that.

Its not perfect by any means, as it was pretty roached. But I might try fogging it was some forest green satin to knock down the sheen a bit.

Nice transformation. I think the Gray is good. Maybe hit it with some steel wool to reduce the gloss.

Have not seen a older S92xx or S96 or BP S99

S94xx would probably be Chrysler

Can anyone identify the purpose of the Blue Point s9450? 1937 date code.
I don’t know how to do the pictures, but essentially it is a 1 1/2” opening at right angle to the short wrench handle, probably water pump.
Snap-on water pump wrenches were box openings set at a 22-1/2* angle to the shank and the model numbers were in 32/nds.

(I know you've been saying this for years, and other have pointed you to the tutorials, but I've posted more detailed step-by-step instructions for posting photos in the Sticky if you want to give it another go.)

Could it be a S9460, 1-7/16" opening?
That's good thinking.

S9450, opening set at 90 degrees to shank, matches my inch and a half 1956 Snap-On wrench. 1937 date code. Thin wrench.
Is the 1956 wrench also marked S9450? Because they still made a caster-camber wrench (as macaxis first alluded to...) in '56 (S9460A at that time), and it was economy made with a very thin head and a very think hardened steel shank. The handle had a slight bow in it to further facilitate clearance/access. I'm starting to think the S9450 was maybe special made for the same or similar purpose on a different car but not listed in catalogs.

EDIT: If you PM me, I will give you my phone number. If you text me the photos, I will post them.

Not in any cats, No one has ID it. Probably a ford tool, but most of the Sxxxx tools from this era were BP.

Picked these up at a local auction the other day. I have a F-710D ratchet, a Par-X UR-70 ratchet, FX-8 and FX -2 extensions. The last two I got are more interesting they are a PU-20 flexocket with a 1944 "E" code it is also marked "FORD" and "3R-9S" and I also got a 5/8 drive 1924-6 (according to alloy artifacts), No. 300 15/16 socket. I've got 2 questions is 5/8 drive rare and/or valuable, and what could the Ford mean on the flexocket, used in the Ford plant or used for Ford cars and trucks?

5/8 dr was made at least until the 60s. Some 5/8 dr tools from the 20s are quite rare and worth a few dollars, such as the 5/8 dr. speeder.
The Ford tool is probably factory.

Right! Looks like he has 7 handles in the top of the box. I have a badge for it I believe. Is it this one?

No pic of the left side. Not sure if the top box side handle is off. Looks like the badge is still on, just painted white. Hmmm. Should be interesting.

Snapmom, maybe you saw this. It’s very similar but no additional part number, and a nice chrome. Built off of an F-70N Ferret with oil hole. Head looks rebuilt. 16-1/4” long, 1948 date stamp.
