Snap On socket holders KTA 230 (1959), KTR 231 (1957) and KTR-240 (1957)
I wonder how common are those - do not see too many around
And for comparison my older Snap On Socket holder with 1944 (with few 1955) 1/2 drive. It has different color and is not marker with model or date on the bottom. It came with mostly 1944 sockets (I added some)
The sizes I have: 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 25/32, 13/16, 7/8,15/16, 1, 1 1/8, 1 1/4 (+ 1 3/16 which is not a part of the set)
SW 180 (9/16), SW -220 (11/16), SW-260 (13/16) will eventually need to be changed from 1945 to 1944
The socket to the right of the set is SW-380 (1 3/16 from 1944 which was not part of the kit but I got it since there was a size missing prior to 1 1/4 and I decided that I should get them all
...Before somebody mentions the extra sizes which exist in /32
19/32 SW-190
21/32 SW-210 (Not sure, but I assume that it exists)
25/32 SW-250 (have this one in the set)
29/32 SW-290
If I go by catalog from 1945 they produced the following models:
SW- 120, 140, 160, 180, 190, 200, 220, 240, 250, 260, 280, 190, 300, 320, 340, 360, 380, 400
Based on the models they offered in 1945 there were 3 sets:
SW-1500 (all minus 120, 290, 380 and 15-B tray)
SW-1200 (140-320 minus 290 and 5-B tray
SW-1000 (140-280 in 5-B tray)
Based on the fact that I had 400 in the set, I most likely have SW-1500 set ...
If it's true I still need to find SW-190 (19/32), SW-240 (3/4), SW-340 (1 1/16)
Does anybody have 1944 catalog to make sure the sets were the same?
