Yeah, I've seen them blue handled marked VACO. I have one like this in amber. Nice compact 2-in-1 driver that's still useable by bigger hands.

In the service we had two Xcelite cases. We sourced replacement tools with vaco, which amongst a few is a moral sin, but the price of living dangerously..

I have a blue one like that and I believe it is marked Vaco, but I cannot find it at the moment and it's driving me crazy; so I need to stop looking. It will be fun to run across it someday.

^ I have a blue one and a red one. Blue one is a #4695 Indestro, Red one is a #4694 Indestro. Both Vaco-made.

It looks like Radio Snack was sourcing their Archer marked tools from both Vaco and Xcelite.
Here is my Vaco sourced reversible screwdriver.
And a Xcelite sourced Archer Torque Amplifier.

I haven't seen any Vaco Gold-Tone stuff posted. Here's a 3/16" nut driver I found. You can BARELY detect the gold tint on the shank.

Google Books listed 3 references to Gold-Tone & Vaco and all were from 1959. However, those 3 references were all the dang Snippet Views with no text visible. I could not find "Gold Tone" in any Vaco catalogs but I could not find a 1959 catalog - the closest I found were 1955 and 1963 catalogs.



(The opening size is stamped on the shank and is also on the **** of the handle. Overall length is 6.3 inches.)

Vaco is unusual in the UK, new old stock Vaco even more so! Deliveried to my door from UK ebay for well under 20 bucks (£14). Inner and outer snap ring (circlip to us over here) pliers.
